What to Wear Wednesday// Snow Day Session

I LOVE snow days.  And I’m sure you LOVE snow days too.  As both a teacher and photographer, I love them for different reasons.  Miss Campbell, the teacher, loves getting to sleep in past 6:00, and Donnally, the photographer, loves getting great shots of everything covered in white.  Erika had the great idea of doing portrait sessions when it snows!!!  How fun would that be? Waaaaay fun.  And it would make for some awesome pictures!  Here’s an idea for a cute outfit you could wear on a snow day session!

Out and About // KNWA News Station

/></a></p> <p>After the turkey was eaten, all the pie was gone, and the relatives had left- it was time for me to enjoy the rest of my Thanksgiving break.  I spent Friday behind the scenes at <a href=KNWA and Fox 24 in Fayetteville.  That’s right, I was privy to all the craziness viewers don’t get to see when the cameras are off.  Living in the River Valley I don’t get either news stations, so it was treat to FINALLY get to see my guy on the news.  Usually JR is out in the field reporting stories, but Thursday and Friday he was behind the desk filling in for the main anchors.  It was a lot of fun to see each newscast come together, and the people there- very cool.  And so here’s my plug for NWA readers- for all your news, sports, and weather tune into channel 8 at 9:00, and 9 at 10:00.

What I’m Feeling // excitement.

/></a></p> <p>Christmas lights are being hung, trees are being decorated, and I’m getting excited!  I absolutely love this time of year.  I was one of the many crazy people out at 3:00 am for Black Friday… I see Black Friday as the kickoff to the Christmas season.  And so the countdown begins, 27 days to go!</p> <p>-Donnally</p> </div> <p class=Tags: , , , , , , ,

What I’m feeling // relaxed.

It’s Sunday, the day of rest… ahhhh.  No to-do list, no agenda, all I’m planning on clocking in is some quality couch time.  Movie butter popcorn + Hershey’s chocolate bar + Dr. Pepper + guilty pleasure movies = Me relaxed.  Yes, I have a stack of “too embarrassing to admit” movies on the floor that I plan on watching today.  Okay, okay, I’ll tell you… one of the movies is Clueless.  It’s a chick flick kind of day.

Out and About // Hawksbill Craig

Friday night I met up with Erika, but before we could start talking photography I had to hold her sweet baby boy.  He’s going to be a heart breaker.  Such a cutie pie. Talking photography now, we spent several hours sharing and swapping ideas for the website and photo shoots.  Erika has lots of great ideas for revamping the website- I’m excited!!  With that said- be sure to check out the site from day to day!

Moving onto the weekend- Sunday afternoon we went hiking at Hawksbill Craig (one of my favorite places).  It’s a fun hike, and the views are… what for it… breathtaking!  Hawksbill Craig is said to be the most photographed place in Arkansas, and if you have been there before then you definitely understand why.  I’m loving the fall, and the cool weather… but this getting dark at 5:30, I’m not digging it.  Once the sun set, my toes began to freeze.  I think it’s getting time to retire the chacos for the year.

Lizz and Greg // Simple Pleasures Wedding Photography

I’m a little bit behind on my blogging schedule, but now I’m playing catch up since, with Baby Titan that’s about all I can do right now is sit at my computer (glad we don’t have TV or that’s where I’d probably be sitting!!!)

Lizz and Greg were married July 31st.  This was the first time I’ve been to Simple Pleasures to shoot and I had a blast!  There is so much cool stuff in that place!  Oh and not to mention the beautiful cars!!!

These two are both extremely involved in music.  Lizz lead her group in song while Greg decided his group would serenade his girl!

Lizz’s dad surprised them with a ride in the get a way car as they left their reception.   I just love it when couples have these old cars to get a way in!  There’s just something different about it than pulling away in a 1998 Nissan………

Hey there this is Erika!  I know you haven’t heard from me in a while concerning these awesome Monday’s Favorites, but Tanja is probably anxiously awaiting her early morning flight across the world to visit her boyfriend in Europe so I figured I would take over for her over the next couple weeks……
