Personal confession…

Friday, January 15th, 2010

My husband might walk up behind me and tell me that my self portrait picture for the day is inappropriate but I think otherwise so I will post it anyways.  My personal confession lies in the fact that while I was taking a shower this morning I had a realization that the only times I wash my feet (consciously) are after I work out or if I can feel anything on them.  All the other times…………..GROSS!  So today’s post explains exactly my thoughts.  Do you see any soap, other than what circles around on the shower floor, on my feet?

I promise my mom really did teach me how to bathe properly, she can’t be blamed for my carelessness!

A Special Thank You RESULTS!!!

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

I held a contest recently in a way to thank all the people who voted for me in recent contests, by having people go vote for them!  I thought it was pretty fun.  It was valued at $50 and the winner was Ashley Avra which just so happens to be one of our 2010 brides!  The winner was also able to choose what they wanted for a $50 value and she of course chose a $50 credit toward a framed engagement or bridal portrait!  What a lucky girl huh?!?!  I think that’s an awesome idea!  Ashley and Jim will be getting married July 17th!  They are the first couple I’ve ever had send in their retainer fee and contract before I ever met with them!  I must admit I was a bit flattered! :)  I can’t wait to meet with them!   So once again Congratulations Ashley Avra for winning our Special Thank You Contest!!!

There are so many different directions I could go with my post tonight but I’m going to mention briefly how much I hated having this “ugly” wood stove in my new home!  I was used to having a cute little fireplace along with a mantle in which you had a nice elegant focal point in your home.  When TW and I first moved into our home I ranted on and on about how I hated having a wood stove in the middle of the house.  I told him I was going to figure out a way to disguise it into a fireplace by building a mantle around it.  I absolutely hated everything about it!  Well winter time came around and he works and works to cut down firewood for us, weekend after weekend, and now I can say thank you for all the hard work you do so I can have a nice warm cozy house and not only that but no frozen pipes this winter!  (I’ve heard about several families that have had to suffer this sort of hardship this winter and I’ve gotta say with temperatures scaling all the way up to 1 degree I’m not sure I would be tough enough to handle that!!!!)  I am greatful I have a place of constant heat that I can warm my tootsies when they get cold!  So this post goes to my wonderful husband, thank you for all the woodchopping and wood hauling you do to make our house warm.
