Amber and Alan were married last weekend so I get to post her bridals now!!! I have to share this with you……ok remember when I shot their engagement pictures and I asked them how many days left until their wedding and Alan blurted out quickly the exact number of days to go?!?!?!? If that didn’t impress you…..this will melt your heart…….. Bridals are always hidden from the groom until after they are married so when Amber had ordered a big bridal portrait to put on display at their reception, Alan was blown away! He came up to me and told me I did a good job! He’s so adorable! Good luck you two and congrats!

Enjoy!

Ally is such an adorable young lady (and my brother in law’s long time girlfriend)! She’s a senior at Huntsville High School this year and she’s super excited about it! We plan on doing some shots of them later in their football and cheerleading outfits and I’m super excited about it! Oh and Ally has a twin named Holly so of course we’ll be getting some shots of them together too!!! So apparently you’ll be seeing a lot more of Ally soon!

These are my favorites!
Enjoy!

I’m a little bit behind on my blogging schedule, but now I’m playing catch up since, with Baby Titan that’s about all I can do right now is sit at my computer (glad we don’t have TV or that’s where I’d probably be sitting!!!)
Lizz and Greg were married July 31st. This was the first time I’ve been to Simple Pleasures to shoot and I had a blast! There is so much cool stuff in that place! Oh and not to mention the beautiful cars!!!
Ceremony: Highlands Methodist Church
Reception: Simple Pleasures
Cake: Rick’s Bakery
Floral: Breezy’s
DJ: MS Soundworks

They were married at Highlands Methodist Church in Bella Vista. He’s a pretty proud Dad!!! :) And she’s all smiles!

Meet Mr. and Mrs. Evans!

We had some great lighting for our couple shots! Isn’t she beautiful? I just love that red hair!

A beautiful first dance shared together for the first time as a married couple!
These two are both extremely involved in music. Lizz lead her group in song while Greg decided his group would serenade his girl!

Lizz’s dad surprised them with a ride in the get a way car as they left their reception. I just love it when couples have these old cars to get a way in! There’s just something different about it than pulling away in a 1998 Nissan………

Congratulations you two!
Enjoy!

I thought today I would focus on an engagement session for the What to Wear Wednesday Series.
I like to have a theme for my engagement sessions usually but in today’s case we’ll just take a traditional approach for an engagement session as casual outfit and a dressy outfit.
//CASUAL//
GIRL GUY
These two outfits really compliment each other. The girls cute green floral top is given an artistic vibe with the fedora and the black vest. Having the guy in a solid yet trendy black ties these two outfits together.
*Styles can be found at Buckle.
//DRESSY//

So of course I love this tie!!! Oh and guys just an FYI: grey is really in right now! :)

I paired that outfit with this bc I was pulling in the green into both outfits and I think the shoes give the outfit that artistic look once again and the cute bow just tops it all off!
*Styles can be found at Forever 21
Enjoy!

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…”
Speaking for all women out there, we love love love shoes. So finding the perfect ones for your wedding day… a big deal. Shop around, don’t buy the first pair you find at David’s Bridal (you didn’t choose to marry the first guy you met, am I right?). Remember, you want your wedding shoes to be timeless… classic… A great place to start looking, Wedding Feet, they have many styles and colors to choose from. I love blue as an accent color, so for this post I chose to highlight blue heels for the big day!

*Above shoes can be found at Wedding Feet online.

Bring on the cooler weather, because football season is here. Friday night I watched the Pointers take on the Goblins. (Side bar- no relation to either team, go Bearcats!) KNWA’s River Valley game of the week was Harrison at Van Buren, and I was there to catch the action. I even got to try my hand at filming (me not so good behind the video camera, sticking to still shots). Texting and driving… dangerous. Texting while on the sidelines of a football game… equally dangerous. At the end of the 2nd quarter I was trampled on the 30 yard line. Can you say embarrassing? All in all, it was a lot of fun. Yes, my pride did take a hard hit (ha ha, hard hit- get it?), BUT! you can’t beat a good night of football!
Click here to see highlights of the game (and some of my awesome shooting skills).

Little Rock is beautiful at night. Whether you’re driving up Capitol Hill, enjoying time downtown, or walking the Junction Railroad Bridge… it’s a sight. Well, let’s say “some” places in Little Rock are beautiful at night. I can think of some alleys on Roosevelt that I wouldn’t go as far to say beautiful, maybe creepy or trashy. But that aside, Sunday I enjoyed an evening out on the town. I was with great company, relishing the few hours left of my weekend. A nice walk across the bridge, followed by dinner downtown was the perfect ending to my weekend.
Enjoy some of my shots from the night.

…the journey is half the fun!
Saturday I made the trek to Horseshoe Canyon in Jasper, Arkansas to enjoy a day of rock climbing. As it turns out the drive ended up being the best part of the trip. We took a pit stop at Who-Da-Thought-It and then had lunch at Ozark Cafe (known for ahhh-mazing chili).
If you’re in search of a coonskin hat or stuffed armadillo… I suggest visiting Who-Da-Thought-It. And lets be honest, you can’t be a true Arkansan without witnessing this establishment off highway 7. Saturday was my first time to eat at Ozark Cafe, I had driven past it several times but never took the time to stop… big mistake, because their milkshakes are to die for! Yes, they’re THAT GOOD. The cafe is decorated with old photographs and newspapers from the surrounding areas, as an Elvis fan I was excited to see a picture taken of Elvis in the Natural State.
As for rock climbing at Horseshoe, within thirty minutes of getting to our destination I managed to injury myself, ruining all plans of climbing. Moral of the story? Slow down and enjoy the journey, because in some cases it’s better than the destination.
