I honestly almost forgot what day it was! I was ready to upload a whole different picture for today! Whew……glad I noticed because I know I’d be in trouble by all you guys!
Today is 17 weeks. Baby Dotson is about the size of a palm, weighs about five ounces (the size of a turnip), and is developing some body fat (join the club, baby!). The heart is now regulated by the brain (no more random beats) to beat 140 to 150 times per minute — about twice as fast as mine! It can move its joints, and the sweat glands are starting to develop.
We’re pretty excited about finding out what it is in 2 weeks (give or take a few days). I think it would be fun if we got some guesses from you guys and maybe a name to go along with your guess! This will be fun! So please if you took the time to read this blog post be sure to post whether your guess is boy or girl and an accompanying name. :) Thanks.
I thought it would be interesting to show you what it looks like inside right now too. Although there are several pictures online that are real images inside, honestly that sorta creeps me out, so I’ll stick with the cartoon images until we have our own to show you!

I have thought a boy from the beginning, so Tanja im with ya on that one! As for names… How about Brycen or Taren or Talon, Teague, Trevot…OR Egen or Ely or Emerson!!! Ok I dont have any more ideas haha. Cant wait to find out though!

Funny thing, I’ve been looking at your birth stuff for a while now and vowed I would hire you to be there, then fancy the idea that the only thing to make it impossible for you to be there would happen!
