I held a contest recently in a way to thank all the people who voted for me in recent contests, by having people go vote for them! I thought it was pretty fun. It was valued at $50 and the winner was Ashley Avra which just so happens to be one of our 2010 brides! The winner was also able to choose what they wanted for a $50 value and she of course chose a $50 credit toward a framed engagement or bridal portrait! What a lucky girl huh?!?! I think that’s an awesome idea! Ashley and Jim will be getting married July 17th! They are the first couple I’ve ever had send in their retainer fee and contract before I ever met with them! I must admit I was a bit flattered!
I can’t wait to meet with them! So once again Congratulations Ashley Avra for winning our Special Thank You Contest!!!
Enjoy

So tonights picture isn’t the best, I will admit, but I wanted to try to shoot in my headlights. So I tried it and here’s the shot I came up with.

If you haven’t been able to tell this about me yet, I love my dog Ellie, she’s a chocolate lab and she’s super smart! So of course I grabbed her and made her come along in my self portrait for the day! I think she was a little scared that I was running and trying to get her excited in 10 seconds! ha ha

I can;t see what I’m typing but we had a movie night and watched a movie I have been dying to watch! Julie and Julia. I loved it! For some reason my computer will not let me see what I am typing sbut I am determined to get this blog posted tonight. If you are a blogger and haven’t seen this movie it’s a must! It describes this girl cooking for 365 days which I could totally related to with my passion of photography!!!! Adorable!

Alright so I’m going to admit there are two minutes left till midnight and all I could think of to take a picture of was my thumb?

Well this is my tribute to my two high school friends that also had these hideous thumbs and we had our own ugly thumb club!!!

There are so many different directions I could go with my post tonight but I’m going to mention briefly how much I hated having this “ugly” wood stove in my new home! I was used to having a cute little fireplace along with a mantle in which you had a nice elegant focal point in your home. When TW and I first moved into our home I ranted on and on about how I hated having a wood stove in the middle of the house. I told him I was going to figure out a way to disguise it into a fireplace by building a mantle around it. I absolutely hated everything about it! Well winter time came around and he works and works to cut down firewood for us, weekend after weekend, and now I can say thank you for all the hard work you do so I can have a nice warm cozy house and not only that but no frozen pipes this winter! (I’ve heard about several families that have had to suffer this sort of hardship this winter and I’ve gotta say with temperatures scaling all the way up to 1 degree I’m not sure I would be tough enough to handle that!!!!) I am greatful I have a place of constant heat that I can warm my tootsies when they get cold! So this post goes to my wonderful husband, thank you for all the woodchopping and wood hauling you do to make our house warm.

Today will be full of DIY projects for you swanky brides out there!
First off the information on how to download these table numbers and menus is here.

I love this wedding timeline!!!!

What a cute idea for wedding favors or really for any reason! Check out info to download the template here.

I am so pumped! All the time I get brides that want to do their own flowers, which honestly usually this scares me, mostly because the only place to get flowers in bulk around here is Sam’s Club so they usually all end up being the same do it yourself flowers. But wait I’ve found a super cool awesome website for anyone interested in doing their own flowers!! If you are one of those people I recommend you take a look at this webpage really quick though! It will help you determine if you really are a DIY flower bride. Now as for the rest of you. They sell their flowers in a Grand Box which includes several flowers to create many bouquets. Here are a few of my favorite wedding flowers.

And finally a Save the Date download! Aren’t these super cute!!! Check it out here!

Please leave some comment love so I know if I should continue with Monday’s Favorites!
Enjoy

Today is Sunday and there’s one thing I love most about Sunday, it’s the only day of the week that I don’t work (usually, unless I have a wedding planned). I love that the whole day is full of no technology, no worries for the day, nothing I have to get done, it’s all about relaxing and enjoying my family. I know there’s obviously a whole lot more about Sunday to enjoy and write about but I’m not focusing on that, I’m focusing on enjoying doing hardly anything. So my picture for today takes place on our fence in front of our home, where I sat today and watched the sunset.

So recently my mom and I have been walking in the mall since it’s been freezing cold outside and there aren’t a whole lot of indoor locations to walk in, plus my mom wants to loose a few pounds (who am I kidding so do I). I’m trying to be the dedicated workout partner! :) So tonight we spoiled probably every ounce of walking we’ve done all week by eating at a chinese buffet. I’m not a huge fan of buffets and especially not the chinese kind but I went along. So today’s picture isn’t really about creativity but rather that I’m greatful my mom has moved to Northwest Arkansas and lives right in town so I can constantly annoy her once again by stopping by whenever I feel like it, coming in and eating all her food, and making her take her vehicle when we go places. :) I’m so glad my mom is a college student!

Mom thought it was interesting they gave instructions on how to use chopsticks.

My fortune cookie says “He who hurries cannot walk with dignity”. Good thing I’m a she!!!

Mom’s fortune: “Wish you a long life”. I cannot agree more!!!

Ever since the new year I have been contemplating the idea of sitting down and writing a list of resolutions as I usually do. This year I just haven’t felt I had any real “new years resolutions”. For the past few months I have been trying to eat healthier as well as get myself into better shape mostly by being constant rather than jumping on and off the band wagon 50 times a year! One of the things I’ve recently been focusing on is no caffeine, which really isn’t that hard for me to do. I’ve started noticing though I have purchased an increased amount of energy drinks, something I used to squirm at the idea of drinking. I also learned recently that my favorite drink Diet Sunkist actually has caffeine in it!!!!! I was shocked! So now it’s back to Fresca, my new love.

Enjoy
