This reminded me.. I’ve been wanting to start writting in a journal so there is like written documents not just my life on the web. Tacky I know but how neat would a diary like this be? To show your kids one day.

Well that’s all folks

Have a great week.

Holiday Monday Favs

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Hey everyone, Tanja here.

It’s time for the holidays, time for giving and being thankful for what ya got.

I just wanted to do a few random monday favs.

Angel Tree

What an amazing foundation. Sometimes we get caught up in our own lives to realize how hard others may have it. Sometimes we take way to much for granted. I think this is an amazing way to help someone out.  Get together with a few friends and chip in and get something. Something is always better than nothing.  A few of my friends got to gether and we are getting a little girl a bike. If you dont have time to make it to the mall you can go to jcp.com/angeltree.

Tree of Life with Copper Wire and Blue Beads

How neat is this? Ofcourse found it on etsy.com I love how cute and small it is for smaller living space if you dont really have time for a whole set of decorations this is a cute little addition to the house.

and these.. I’m just putting on my wishlist for christmas

Sally and Cole // Northwest Arkansas Engagements

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Sally and Cole.  Cole called me and booked an appointment with me where we met at Common Grounds and I got to meet Sally.  Cole is an Ag student here at U of A and Sally is in grad school in Little Rock.  They will be getting married in Mt. Home at an outside venue (I LOVE outdoor weddings!!!)  We had a lot of fun during their shoot.  We started in Fayetteville to get the urban feeling images then we headed out to Cole’s family’s farm, I loved shooting there!  :)

This first shot is sentimental to them.  The day he proposed they were out shooting clay pigeons and he asked her to go get more shells……I have yet to see it but apparently he even made a box out of the shells for the ring!!!!  This spot is so I am told about where they were engaged!

Yay for some doggie kisses!  I love how their dogs totally describe their personalities!

They even had the bronco pulled out of the garage for a photo shoot!

I love the sunflare in this one!  They had a celebration dinner here!

Pretty sure this one is my favorite shot!

Tanja captured this one and I love it!  It makes me feel European!?!?!

Ashton and Adam // Northwest Arkansas Engagements

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Ashton and Adam are such wonderful people!  They are from my hometown and will be getting married on June 12th!  So I have got to share how Adam proposed!!! It’s so cute.  I won’t go into all the details because I just know I’ll mess them up but he was on a family vacation with her family down in Florida.  They had a condo on like the 13th floor or something (see that’s probably one of those details I’ll mess up)…. and he enlisted his future family in law (along with random people on the beach) to spell out “Ashton will you marry me?”  in the sand!!!!  How adorable.  I can’t imagine how large they had to have made that so you could see it all the way from up there!  If I can I’ll try to get a photo of that for you all!  They are Razorback fans and drove up here on a weekend when the Hogs were playing in Little Rock.  They sported their fan gear and we walked all over campus for some great shots!  I loved that Adam was getting text messages the entire session of important game updates from his little brother!!!  There’s a shot of that in an earlier post!

Her eyes are so beautiful!

Monday Favorites

Monday, November 9th, 2009

So today will totally be an overwhelming day for the blog!  I am so behind blogging everything so today I am playing catch up.  But first things first!

Some interesting things I found for Monday’s Favorites!

Found this on one of my favorite blogs!!!  Here you will find a DIY post on how to make a birdcage veil!  You know we’re in love with these!  They are so vintage and adorable!

birdcage-wedding-veil-instructions

I just love these paper lantern-ish garlands!!!  It says you can make these for about $40 but I think you could find ways to make that price drop just a bit!  Find out how here!  I know I have a few weddings coming up with couples that have planned for paper lanterns so this post is especially for you!  :)

Enough DIY stuff for today………

On to what to get for bridesmaids gifts!

These don’t have to be extravagant and I wanted to post gifts from places around Northwest Arkansas so you can go pick them up!

First is this mini floral clip.  It can be worn in the hair on the wedding day for an extra sense of style as well as through the season for a girly pop to any outfit!  Best part=$2.80!!!  I found this here.

Second everyone needs a nice set of  personalized stationary. Sincerely Yours has several an unlimited array of creative ideas!

Ok with this post I get a few minutes during the day to browse the web and get my browsing for the day out of the way so you’ve got to expect a little bit of randomness!!!
I just found these and they are amazing!  So vintage inspired and simple……two words we love over here!  I was the bride that said “Don’t worry about registering for china because it usually isn’t that pretty or it’s TOO pretty and I’ll never use it!”  Had I seen these before I would have registered for china!!!!  I love how their names are on the wire!!!  These are so so so adorable! Find them here.
Birds on a Wire Collection
And my last final idea is chalkboards!!! They are making a come back from your childhood memories!  These scream casual and vintage, which is why we love them!
This cute idea came from Alesia Zorn who is a Calligraphy artist.  She came up with this for a bride who wanted to have the signature cocktails on a menu board!  So cute!
Chalkboard scan
Here are several more ideas for chalkboards……. a word search, tablecloths, table number, menus, agendas, wedding favors, dessert labels, photo booth helpers, etc.  Get creative and be inspired!

And here‘s a post about turning this into a DIY project!

That’s all for now.  If you have any ideas for a Monday’s Favorite Post be sure to leave some comments so I can go do some hunting for you!

Sarah and Ryan / Northwest Arkansas Engagements

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Sarah and Ryan are planning to get married July 3rd 2010!  We met up in October to shoot some engagements in downtown Fayetteville.  I just loved the start of their session, we had some soda pop and an old bike for that carefree feel during the summer way back when you were 10 years old!!!  Sarah and Ryan are perfect together!!!  It was my first time to actually meet him in person other than seeing his picture on facebook but he’s the kind of guy anyone can talk to!!!  - we had our chance to chat  a couple of times in between outfit changes.  Sarah and I graduated from U of A in Dietetics together in 2008.  She’s the sweetest gal you’ll ever meet and she’s always so happy and kind to everyone around her.  She’s that person that you can’t help but be happy when she’s around!  So needless to say I’m super excited about their wedding day, I know it will be so beautiful and happy!!!!  Here’s a few favorites from their session….

Monday Favorites – a few days behind but you get the idea…..

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Alright so story of my life I’m a little behind with ALL my blog posts!  If you haven’t seen yourself posted on the blog bare with me it’s been a busy busy busy month, I promise I’m stirring them up!

So I thought of this idea one day and I really liked offering my brides and future brides ideas that I love!  As well as any other readers that just like to browse!!!

Once again huge fan of Etsy!!!!

These are amazing and take 6 hours of workmanship!!!  Wow if this doesn’t scream custom!!!!  Be sure to check out Belles and Crystals on Etsy!

I am totally into everything rosettes this year!!!

How awesome is this shoulder cover!!!!

This one is pretty cool too!!!  Be sure to check out Toccata on Etsy!!!!

I just realized J. Crew had a whole section for wedding planning on their website!!! No wonder so many of my brides have said “oh yea I found those ……………….   at J. Crew”!!!!!!

If you are planning a wedding you seriously have GOT to go check their site out!!!

Enjoy!

Whew this project is getting harder and harder already….. :(   I need to get inspired and quickly!

Tonight is one of the few nights during the week my hubby and I get to spend some time together, we pretty much have enough time to each dinner and watch a movie.  Tonight it was Ice Age 3.  We are big cartoon watcher, probably just because we’re both kids at heart.  If it weren’t for bills and responsibilities we’d be the most fun kids on the block!!  Here I am all cuddled up on top of TW, which I’m sure is quite comfortable for him.  Sometimes I think he just toughs outs the discomfort just for the few minutes he gets close to me because there have been several if not thousands of nights where he’s watching movies alone and going off to bed by his lonesome just because I have so much work to accomplish.

(Please disregard all the random cardboard boxes, we save them for fire starter….)  - we recycle around here  ;)

Enjoy!

Be sure to leave me some blog love!!!  Why don’t you comment and vote on your favorite 365 post so far!!

There is so much in the world that I don’t realize goes on.  This blog post as well as the next are related so I thought I would share them on the same day.  I left work at 3:30am and then got to sleep for a couple hours before I had to get back up to work some more.  This has left me a bit worn out this week as well as sleepy.  I think my internal time clock is a little confused!  I felt very uninspired and unwilling to shoot so here’s what I came up with as my camera was hanging from the ceiling fan, I’m telling you I didn’t want to do much of anything much less get all dressed up to take a photo of myself.

Here’s what I mean when I say there’s so much in the world that I don’t even realize goes on……….
9of365

Here’s our overnight crew at Forever 21…….  (well minus Amber because she’s not cool enough).  I started thinking the other day about how much work everyone does around the world everyday to make everything roll along so smoothly.  I failed to recognize all the work people are doing for me and I don’t even know a portion of it all!!!!  So here’s to your Forever 21 store in Fayetteville.  We love all our customers so much we’re willing to pull some overnighters to make the store look oh so pretty every 6 weeks.  We have such a good manager that she wouldn’t even stretch the rules a little bit, we even had to take our picture outside the store, following the no photos rule!  Then if you’ll notice Tanja wearing an awesome leopard print vest from Forever, she’s inside the glass doors as not to steal!!!  It’s a little bit spooky to be in the mall during closed hours and when all the lights are off!!!!

So since I’ve been on so many of these little trips all over recently my poor little car needed some TLC tonight.  I “helped” TW change the oil in my car today…..pretty much all I did was pour in the new oil after he drained the old stuff!  I know super exciting right?

7of365

This was taken at my mother in laws house.  We always change the oil in our cars there.  I think probably bc TW’s dad has everything we need!  I am grateful to have such sweet in laws!!!

Enjoy!
