Another snow day!

February 8, 2010

I love the snow, but I’m starting to feel as though I live in Colorado or something!  We never get this much snow around here!  It’s usually like an inch at the most!  I had to work today so as soon as I got off I let Ellie out and we played fetch, she’s getting so so so much better at it!  She used to go get it and bring it back like 3 times then quit, but now I have to stop her!!!  She really is a great doggie.  I can’t wait till we get to have puppies!!  :)

I chose this image out of a few because she made me laugh when she hopped in the air after the ball.  You can’t see the ball bc it’s covered in snow but she could find it.

Ps.  My home is gorgeous!  :)

Enjoy!

Superbowl Sunday

February 7, 2010

What else are you supposed to do on Superbowl Sunday other than watch the game.  So my picture is basically to prove that I did indeed watch the game and to be honest was rooting against the Saints…..  :(   But my mom mentioned something that sort of struck me, she said if the Saints do win New Orleans will get some much needed income.  She’s right, I couldn’t think of any other city that actually would need that money for their community, especially after the recent hurricane down there.  I don’t have a whole lot to say about today’s game other than I think Manning choked at the end.  Congratulations Saints.  I know a certain family (The Lindy’s) that are probably going crazy right now !!!

This is what I do on a Saturday evening!

February 6, 2010

I was in town shooting an engagement session with Chelsea and Stew today, it was my second trip to town.  On my way home TW and I were trying to make plans to go do something.  We thought about ice skating, rollerblading, watching a movie, and just going out to eat.  Once I got home I started to not feel well (I don’t think this is pregnancy related, pretty sure my stomach was just being a punk) so I laid down on the couch.  TW did such a great job at building a fire while I was “resting” that I woke up on the verge of sweating!  He was in the computer room watching horse training videos on youtube so I got up and came in the computer room and laid down behind him on the floor.  It was much cooler in this room, although there wasn’t much room for me to lay down!!!  I’m going thru some very slow organizing so things are everywhere.  Sorry TW you have a sleepy wife on a Saturday night!

A smoothie and a movie

February 5, 2010

I was in the store the other day and I found this really awesome idea that I just had to try out.  It’s basically a smoothie in a bag all you do is add milk and blend.  So here’s to a healthy night time snack while we watch Batman Begins tonight.

Oh yea I’ll go ahead and give my product evaluation about it as well…..  if you like the berry flavor and a creamy smoothie this is for you.  As for myself I’m more of a tart smoothie fan and not so creamy more icy so I think it will most likely be the last attempt with this certain product.

Belly Thursday….up for a name change?

February 4, 2010

Hey there the day of the week apparently everyone is excited for, Belly Thursday!  I had a reader suggest I rename the title to Tummy Thursday.  Which got me thinking I could do a name change to Tummy Tuesday as well.  So I want everyone to give their two cents and comment what name you like best……  Belly Thursday, Tummy Thursday, or Tummy Tuesday.  Today is 9 weeks and 2 days.  Today was a big day for someone!!!  You will all hear about it soon!  :)  I’ll keep you posted.

My little nook

February 3, 2010

When I was a kid growing up I used to love those big fancy windows you could sit in and get comfy and read a good book (although now I’m not usually the reading type).  But today I was feeling a bit kiddish and decided to curl up in my husbands chair next to our window (since we don’t have the cool fancy “real” nook I’ve always dreamed of) and read through this book.  I’m not typically a book reader, but I can read magazines and other articles made for someone with a short attention span.  That is why I can read this book, it’s designed to keep you moving through the book, but not page by page, I get to jump around and that’s just what I enjoy.  It’s obviously a book about pregnancy since I can’t imagine justifying laying around all day and reading anything otherwise.  In my opinion the reason I don’t read much is because I compare it to watching TV, and outside of occasional movies we don’t watch TV.  I can’t imagine sitting around all day long and staring at a screen (a TV screen that is) much less can I imagine doing the same thing with a piece of paper.  Who knows maybe I’m just justifying that fact that I should probably read more and rebelling against all the smart folks who read all the time.  :)

Ha ha ha

February 2, 2010

I wanted to write about my day and do a little complaining about my awful day (which honestly isn’t that bad), but then after I did a photoshoot with Molly (Andrew Baker’s girlfriend), I met up my parents at Qudoba for $1 tacos.  Afterwards I went to their little humble abode and planned on having a picture of me laying on the couch watching TV.  Then while I was “posing” my shot Papa walked about the corner and stopped to stare at me while I ran and jumped on the couch to crawl under the covers, just then I burst out in laughter and couldn’t stop laughing, so this is my blog post for today.  It really is wonderful to take a break from life and enjoy your family and the people you care about.

PS. For some reason my internet at home is not working (I’m making this post at my parents house) so if you need to get a hold of me over the next few days call me at 479-871-8932  otherwise I’ll respond to my emails as soon as I get the chance.  Thank you for your patience.

Enjoy!

True Life

February 1, 2010

This was my first picture and I was about to reject it because my dog Ellie is on the side “relieving herself” and my neighbors dog came crashing into my frame.  Then the more I thought about it, this project isn’t about perfection and I need to stop thinking that way.  The truth of the matter is that I just got home and Ellie has been showing signs of being in heat, so we’ve been keeping her up since she’s far to young to breed at this point, and yes she’s going to the bathroom.  Do I blame her?  Of course not!  I wouldn’t relieve myself in my room either!  With that said Ellie go ahead and relieve yourself away.  Then comes the annoying neighbor dog Charlie, whom I can’t stand.  Oh of course he would run into my frame just at the last minute and try to steal my thunder.  Charlie is such an annoying dog, he is at our house more that at his owners house, he lives on our front porch and guards it for us till we get home.  On normal circumstances Charlie would be a wonderful dog if he was mine!  He is the first to come when I call for our dogs, he listens when we tell him to get off the porch, he watches over our home while we’re gone, and keeps our dogs company.  How thoughtful.  Oh Charlie.  My inspiration came from the fact I couldn’t get my car up our driveway and I just left it in the middle of the drive so I’m sure TW will be a little upset, but it really wouldn’t go anywhere.  I had to put my rainboots on and walk home!  So this image explains why I was walking to go check the mail, there’s no way I was about to try to take my car!

The coolest rainboots ever!

January 31, 2010

I got these rainboots for my birthday a few years ago.  I was so excited about them.  I ordered them online from Target and they arrived in the mail.  I wore them everywhere!  Two days after I got them I left them outside on the back porch not thinking about my doggie (Roxy) being back there and I came home and they had a little tear in the top lining, which now served as a sentimental reminder of her presence.  Just over this little winter storm I realized how bad of shape these boots were in, I started noticing that my feet were getting really cold!  I soon also realized that even through 5 pairs of socks my feet were somehow wet as well.  I figured out the problem as seen here.  It’s officially time to retire the coolest rainboots ever!  :(  I’m so very upset.  I think this time though I’m going to invest in some snow boots as well as rain boots!  I definitely learned a difference between the two and the importance of each this winter!

I also learned what “rime” ice was today from the 4029 weather man.  I was so amazed by this awesome “icicle” looking snow this morning, as I described it to TW.  I took a few snapshots of it I was so amazed.  Well later on I found out that what I noticed what a new term to me.  It’s far less dangerous apparently, just prettier to look at.  I think it’s caused from the fog we had this morning, so I’m guessing you’ll be able to see it in the morning if you haven’t noticed it already.
