Sarah and Holden // Bentonville, AR Engagement Photographers

May 17th, 2013

I’m trying to catch up on my ENDLESS list of blogging sessions and weddings that never made it! See…check out this Instagram photo that I posted last night!  In fact you can follow me on Instagram here!

Sarah and Holden met up with me to shoot their engagements at Bogle Park in Bentonville, Arkansas….a while back….ok maybe years back.  Sarah and Holden were one of those super cool couples.  We shared a love of lab doggies and running.  They were such a treat to spend time with and so so so sweet!

Enjoy!

Some more beautiful photos of Lindsey!  We met up a couple times since our first meet didn’t have that awesome yummy lighting behind us and each time we met Lindsey was such a sweetie!  I was in awe of how talented she was in front of my camera, she was a natural!

Literrally I love EVERY one of these!

My Dear Ellie

March 13th, 2013

Golden Eye’s Sunrise Miss Ellie was her name.  We brought her home just days following our yellow lab, Roxy’s death.  I brought Ellie home thinking she would have to earn her keep as I wasn’t fond of her puppy ways.  She did just that and became a weak spot in my heart. She was always so happy to see you when you arrived home.  Those golden eyes sparkled when she looked at you.  I’ll miss my dear friend.  She was so loyal to me and loved to go on runs alongside me.  She loved to roam our countryside.  She was so good with our children.  She loved to lick your hands to make sure you didn’t forget to pet her.  She was the perfect furry family friend.  She was a good momma.  She was beautiful.  I’ll miss you dear friend.  I tried everything I could to help you.  You will rest in peace and no longer be in pain.   This will be my way of letting you go for now, until I will be able to grab you in my arms when we meet again.

These are when we brought her home for the first time.  I told her she had to earn her place at our home because she had some big shoes to fill.

I got so mad at Ellie because she wouldn’t sit by me when I was trying to take this self portrait that in the end I just threw up my hands and gave up!

She was my best furry friend.

She was also a good momma to two litters of puppies!

We love you Ellie and we miss you already!  It’s not the same here without you!

Cynthia and Brad’s Sneak Peek// Fort Smith Engagement Photographers

March 8th, 2013

Cynthia and Brad met up with me in Fort Smith this afternoon and got some GORGEOUS engagement photos!  I can’t wait to share them all but for now here’s a few favorites!

I don’t normally do this with my clients (although it’s fun!) but Beaty Photography does every session they do! Well they referred Cynthia and Brad to me so I decided this would be a fun way to say thanks!

Totally loving all the color! I think they should blow this one up for their home! :)

The entire session Cynthia was all smiles! I loved it!

I’m not typically a photographer that captures lots of backgrounds….but these colors are growing on me!

I actually like the soft focus of this for some reason, maybe it’s just about capturing the moment?

Literally ya’ll STRAIGHT OUT OF CAMERA! I’m telling you I’m the lucky one that gets to document her big day!

Stunning!

Outfit change….things just got romantic!

I’m in love with the symmetry of this!

Those doors!  I would love to do some bridal portraits here!

Ok I’m done.  I’ve used entirely too many !!!!! exclamation points.  No one is yelling around here…in fact the loudest thing I can hear is my keyboard as I’m typing!  Midnight is time to get some sleep!

Thanks you two I had so much fun! Can’t wait for June 8th!

Ethan // Fayetteville Portrait Photographer

March 8th, 2013

Aimee contacted me and said hey it’s time for Ethan’s 6 month photos……and I literally felt like we JUST did their newborn photos!  I typically am not a newborn or child portrait photographer, but Ethan lucked out because his parents had a credit with me.  I will however shoot portraits for previous and existing clients! Just because I love you guys so much! He’s getting so big and he’s such a good happy baby!  Aimee did a really great job with props and staging for this shoot!  She took into consideration what theme and style his room is and also that Easter is around the corner when selecting props and outfits.  Keep in mind since I’m not typically a child photographer I do not have a store house of awesome props…. which is why Tonya Reeves and Amber Lanning are better choices for newborns and children (I seriously use them for all my kids’ important photos!)

Here’s to that adorable Ethan who just recently mastered sitting up!

We happened to be shooting out by a dog park so lots of doggies were walking past us…..Ethan lit up and just loves those pups!

This little suitcase was his grandmothers!  So cute and perfect!

Loved that little bunny too, perfect for Easter and….it was his fathers’!

And then he was done!

But seriously thank you so much Ethan!  You did so well!

Christy and Jared // Arkansas Wedding Photographers

February 8th, 2013

Christy and Jared were wed at Chapel on the Creeks in Lowell June 30th, 2012.  It was a really beautiful day and not yet part of that blistering Arkansas heat!  Chapel on the Creeks is literally just that, a cute little chapel set just alongside a small little creek bed.  This was my first time to shoot at the new venue, and I’m excited to return!

November 14th, 2012

Lisa and Darron were married August 4th, 2012 at their home, also known as Creekwood Gardens.  Lisa is a wedding planner at heart and offers a unique experience for her brides.  It was no surprise when she called me up to document her day that it would be awesome and full of fun little details!  I am very grateful I have come to know Lisa both on a professional level but also on a personal level as our two youngest daughters are literally 22 days apart!  Congratulations to Lisa and Darron!

Enjoy this little peek!

Lindsey and Nick // Rogers Arkansas Engagement Photographers

November 3rd, 2012

Last Sunday I went out with Nick and Lindsey and we had a pretty good time capturing their love story in an engagement session!  We started in downtown Rogers with a bit of a different style than I normally shoot and then headed to the Shadow Valley golf course where these two were engaged (yes we even used the exact location of their proposal!), then we headed off to the trails at Crystal Bridges to capture that gorgeous sunset lighting.  It was a bit chilly outside but it wasn’t windy or cloudy so we weren’t going to complain!

Here’s a little preview for you!

Happy Halloween! // Charlotte’s Web Costumes

October 31st, 2012

Hey everyone!  Just sharing some of our Halloween snapshots!

It was a really fast photo, this is the best we got (I love it by the way, so thank you to the sister in law!)  Only thing missing was the text “Some Pig” on my white spider web skirt! – And as you can see I lost the debate in the McDonalds parking lot for TW to change into his jeans as part of his costume!  I’ll be honest I’m a bit jealous of everyone’s cute family themed costume photos where everything is perfect.  This is my life, not perfect.  As I stood at the back of our trunk getting out TW’s costume and tried to win the fight of having him change fully (ie….no shorts) verses him wanting to hurry to get a picture because one his food was going to get cold (which mind you I wanted to get this picture before we ever ordered food – I was  clearly thinking ahead).  Thinking about it I would have rather caught a daylight photo than him change into those jeans and come back in the dark anyways!  Sold let’s just get the picture!  Sometimes it’s hard having a husband who is gone before daylight and home at dark…..well I guess that only seems hard to a photographer?  Anywho I do wish I had more time to document our lives in the daylight! :)

Charlotte herself!

Our trick or treater group! The boxer girl, no costume, an orange shirt that reads Costume girl, a pirate, Wilber, and the rat off of Charlotte’s Web

Last one of the night.  We tuckered out after about an hour.  Those big girls are just too much for us!  :)   I know it’s not perfect but like I said it’s ok.  Capture the moments anyways and share them!  Toddlers and babies aren’t going to cooperate all the time, like Wilber not wearing his mask, and Charlotte not wanting in her carrier, but it’s ok.

Document your lives and share with me!

Happy Halloween!
